A Touch of Grass - A Nice Broad Ripple experience

This weekend I had a friend in town from Chicago.

While we ended up visiting a variety of Festivals and a Neighborhood yard sale, one of the more entertaining things we did was to visit the Wellington Pub in Broad Ripple.

The Wellington is a part of the Corner Wine Bar, which itself is a fine place to grab a meal. However, on Friday and Saturday nights around 9pm, the wine cellar is transformed to an intimate setting of Banjos, guitars, humor, and fun!

This is one of my favorite things to do in Indianapolis and my out of state guests, always enjoy their time. The music is fun and the band does a great job of incorporating the audience. Whether it is asking for suggestions or making someone pass along their "Yellow Band Can" you are sure to have a smile on your face by the time you leave.

This place often seems like a lesser known secret....and often like a secret known by too many. It is sometimes difficult to get a table, so be sure to get there early.

Food and Drinks are served, so if you time it right, you could have dinner followed by the entertainment.
